POLO Architects laureate Spatial Planning Award Herentals
The award for Highest Quality Urban Development Project of the City of Herentals was first given out during the 'Core consolidation in villages and small cities' event on Wednesday 29 March 2017 and was initiated by the Municipal Committee for Spatial Planning (Gecoro) of Herentals in collaboration with the Flemish Association for Space and Planning (VRP), the Flemish Association of Towns and Communities (VVSG) and the City of Herentals.
We are proud to announce that POLO Architects received the award in the presence of Flemish Government Architect Leo Van Broeck. With the winning infill development project 'Kanaalstraat', we wish to focus on sustainable core densification.
POLO Architects consciously explores an increasing number of urban development challenges in Belgium and abroad and orients itself towards a strategic reflection on spatial planning.
Using sustainable spatial strategies, our urban planning team focuses on high-quality living environments for the future of our cities, towns and open spaces. POLO Architects has the ambition to offer solutions to complex spatial and societal challenges.
