As spatial researchers, strategists and designers we hold the key to formulating the answers to some of the most critical issues of our time. The world is at a tipping point and the old solutions just won’t do anymore. POLO Urbanism wants to be at the forefront of a revolution to fundamentally rethink society through innovative spatial transformations, whether they are radically mould-breaking or subtly subversive.

From the very start our office has relished transgressing the traditional boundaries of the design world. We are inspired by the creative exchanges with other disciplines and the wide-ranging research into our projects’ contexts. Our urbanism team grew out of a group of people who shared the same passion for this comprehensive approach.

At POLO Urbanism we come at every project with a fresh mind, without preconceptions. We want to create the tools and instruments for our client or the enduser to join us on the transformational journey that is the hallmark of a successful creative process.

Urban design and planning projects typically involve a plethora of disciplines and stakeholders. At POLO Urbanism we see it as our duty to take a leading role in aligning the ambitions of the different actors involved in a project. This implies strong interpersonal skills, a certain humility and willingness to listen and understand others.

Our studio is located in POLO’s Brussels offices at the Tour & Taxis site. Here the built heritage of the past is transformed into a stimulating setting to work and unwind.
